Dear Colleague,
We are preparing a project under the Comenius Programme of the
European Commission which funds the projects of elementary schools
and we are looking for partners for this project. The name of the
project will be "Organizing International Sports Activities for the
Integration of the Children of Migrant Families".
The main aim of this project is; decreasing the negative effects of
migration on children of the migrant families by the help of sports
activities. The children of the families who migrate to another city
have some important problems. Because of not being able to integrate
into the host society, these children become potential criminals. In
this project, we aim to help these children integrate into the
society by using sports activities in order to increase self
confidence of these children and to enhance their points of
view .We plan to organize sports activities with the other students
who attend to primary schools in different countries and cities.
If you are interested in this project, we would be very glad to be
partners with you in this project. We are looking forward to your
reply as soon as possible since we have limited time for the
deadline of application to the European Commission.

1--One of our organizations dealing with adult education has a project on training women in the countryside.
The title: Improving the efficiency of the women, deprived of initial education, at childcare education.
Our region has numerous illeterate women who has no basic knowledge about how to treat their children corectly and how to train them in the family, the first educational step in a child's growth. With this project it is aimed to train the mentioned women to improve their efficiency.
2--We also have another LDV pilot project the title of which is comparing the relationship between vocational schools with SME's

Hi,
In Europe, especially the Small and Medium Sized
Enterprises, that are performing in textile industry
are facing several difficulties due to the
comtemporary competitive environment in global market.
Starting from the 01.01.2005, according to the World
Trade Organisation Regulations, the barriers
restraining the international trade have been no
longer in application. Whilst this is a very important
step in liberalisation of world trade and in enhancing
open markets and enhancing new emerging markets, many
of the firms are not fully ready to new conditions,
most of them have not expected such a rapid revolution
and that sharp effects.
Now the firms need to modify themselves in some way.
Anyone may realise that the people are losing their
jobs as a result of the process that has been recently
observed. The undesired effects are not only
economical; a likelihood of existance of social
problems emerges, too.
Some guidelines are needed in the sector. One thing
very important is the cooperation between the firms,
which are real actors of the sector, and universities
and other NGOs that are related to the sector to some
extent. This kind of a cooperation may lead firms to
cope with the new threats in the sector.
Technical textile tehniques, organic poducts are among
some gateways. As an NGO from Turkey, we would like to
discuss on our draft projects.

the greatest philosophers in the world. The basic principle of his

tolerance by giving up prejudice and searching ways of intercultural
dialogue . The ideas of Socrates and Mevlana will be our guide in this

The main idea of the Project derives from the fact that there are
very important leaders or personals lived in Europe who are
gifted,who have a divine influence on societies,masters of
Education,Politics,Art,Science or Literature , heros of
communities,Some of them are known worldwide either for their ideas
on life,education,politics and/or philosophy or for their Works of
art.While some are only known nationally or just by local people.
One of the objectives of this Project is to enable students
investigate these ideas of the leaders and realize that their
thoughts,ideas and Works still contribute to our lives even they are
not alive anymore.
The Project intends to focus on intercultural and universial subjects
such as education,culture,history,politics or environment through the
ideas and disciplines of these important personals.
Searching about the leaders of European countries will give provide
very important historical,political and cultural clues or facts
about each participant country.
The project intends to set up discussion strategies enabling
students to investigate attitudes in relation with
education,technology,culture or environment and with many other areas
not mentioned here.
Comparing the similarities and the differences in the leaders'
attitudes towards basic areas will create a European dimension.
The final product will be the production of a document containing a
mixed up abstract of the European Leaders' biographies with their
photos and pictures.Furthermore there will be a work on the
internet.Finally the project should result in having a better
informed students that discuss and evaluate ideas and disciplines on
many different subjects.

"Antiterrorism-education as an element of counscious and activ European citizenship development"
The main purpose of the project is introduce common optimal plan of educational activities in the field of threat of terrorism, on the base of experience, expectations , demand and good practice in that field of the institutions taking part in the project from different countries of European Community.
In the project could participate institutions, engaged in widely understanding education, but also security, social, pedagogical and psychological problematic, which are willing to examine and describe activities in the field mentioned above in their countries.

The prison wants to work with their own teachers and not with the

THE NAME OF THE PROJECT: COMPUTER AIDED SHOE DESIGN and NEW MANIFACTURING SYSTEMS
SUMMARY:
The project includes ten teachers that work at Computer and Machine Departments in our school and the manifacturers who are the members of the Shoemakers Association. Teachers are dynamics of society. It is not only the education they had until being teacher that forms teachers' quantity and quality, but also their experiences that they have had while they are working as teacher. But they are in difficulty to get knowledge and experiences because of their intense working conditions. Especially teachers who work at technical branch feel this difficulty in the developing and spreading throughout world. It is their ambitious to teach their students the technological developments and knowledge which are changing and developing very rapidly. For our teachers and manufacturers this project is very important because it is restricted to reach technology and follow developments in Europe about the subject of the project. Our teachers and manufacturers think about getting knowledge and experiences at shoe manufacturing and conceiving from the countries which have new technology.
Our region is in the location of prevalent work force opportunities and economic potential with five shoe factories and a hundred workshops at shoe manufacturing sector. There are a hundred and forty five members that are registered to the Shoemakers Association. If it is thought this project will provide assistance for the workers that these manufacturers employed in this sector. It is expected that the financal dimension of the work power of the teachers manufacturers and the students, they get help from their experiences and knowledge, and the workers that are employed by the members of Shoemakers Association will be important for local economy. With this project, it will be tried to teach knowledge and experiences to students and workers in this sector. Shortly, our techers will make prevalent of their experiences and knowledge by transmitting to the institution organization and business enterprises about this subject. The period of the project comprises the study of research for two weeks in a year.
The Name of the Project: EXAMINING MILKING TECHNIQUES BY COMPUTER CHECKING SYSTEM AND RAISING SYSTEMS OF CATTLE ANIMALS
SUMMARY:
Our Project includes 5 teachers who work at Electricity departmant in our school. All of the participant teachers graduated from university licence education. Our teachers are good at Electricity, Electric and using computer. They have the ablility doing automatic control circuit conceiving.
Although Turkey has been going on developing, it has not got rid of being a society that produces livedtock and agriculture. Our school is in the riverbasin of "Küçük Menderes", so this area can be thought as a small Holand in Turkey. But in general raising livestock is underdeveloped of European standard, although it can be thought it is in advance in Turkey. The people who are busy with raising livestock have been raising animals and producing milk in a primitive, unhealthy and uninformed surroundings. It is necessary for our society to live healthy and superior meat yield from the raised animals. It is one of the duties of our government producing milk and meat at European Standard and providing its society healthy milk and meat. There are a lot of middle sized establishment to work milk product up in our area. If the milk that is brought this establishment is healthy, the products of it will be healthy, too. For providing the conditions we mentioned, it is necessary to be innitiator who get technique education for the people. Because it is difficult for our farmers to get knowledge their opportunities are not enough and they are not very well-educated. We, participant teachers, can do research on methods of raising animal by computer checking and similar automation systems. Wecan get a duty to provide about setting and caring systems, educating producers in Turkey by getting in touch with the firms which produce raising and milking techniques by computer checking system for the business enterprises in need.It will help to develope livestock in our area by training producers in a plan about milking system by computer checking system and the programmes of machines and their setting ways.Our producers will learn raising their animals healthyly enough.meat and milk productivity will increase for each animal.At the high rate healthy and intact milk producing will be carried out.
The period of this project has been planned for 3 weeks between 3rd July2006 and 24th July 2006 in a year.
The name of the project:EXAMINING THE TECHNIQUES OF PLANNING ROBOT AND USING ROBOTS ACCORDING TO THE NECESSITY IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES.
SUMMARY:
Our project includes seven teachers who work at Electricity department in our school.All of the participant teachers graduated from licence education.Our teachers are good at electricity, electronic and using computer.They have the ability of doing automatic control circuit conceiving.It is difficult to follow new technology for our teachers because of being our school in a district and restricted opportunities.The teachers that work our school have not got enough knowledge to make robot and use it.There is difficulty about having knowledge and using it at Turkey's conditions. We know that European Union's countrties have made reforms at their own technique schools, universities and industrial institutions before years. Planning, producing and using high technology product robots have been taught at their technique schools and universities. At industrial institution they profit from robots widely.
We want our teachers to find out planning robots, where the robots are used and software programmes there. We also want our teachers to share and gtet profit from the knowledge they learnt there with other teachers at school. By planning we want them to teach this knowledge to their students so that the students' interests and abilities will improve.They will do some works to spread this knowledge to education around our country and our schools. They will also share their knowledge and experiences with institutions, business enterprises and organizations that are interested in the topic. We want our school to be the initiator to inform about using and planning robot at middle sized business experiences. We know knowledge grows by sharing.
This project has been planned for four weeks in a year between 29th July 2006 and 27th August 2006.

Dear potential partners,
We are five institutions (Siauliai University, Klaipeda University +
Governor Administration of Siauliai county, Siauliai county tax
inspectorate and Siauliai city municipality) from Siauliai county (Nord of
Lithuania) cooperating together and planning to aplly for leonardo
mobility project to Lithuanian National leonardo agency. Name of the
project "Modernization of study programs in general and continuing
education for civil servants: different ways of professional development
guidance in sociocultural context of EU countries".
We seek for two kinds of receiving organizations:
1.public administration sector institutions (municipalities, governor
administrations etc.) which have expierence in implementing strategical
personnel management, competencies portfolio and career guidance models,
personnel development and training strategies, evaluating and measuring of
competencies etc.;
2. educational institutions, which provide training (general or
continuing)for civil servants and have expierences in developing programs
in the field of human resources personell development - strategical
personnel management, composing competencies portfolio for public sector,
career guidance etc.
The goals of our project and study visits will be:
-to learn about professional development guidance and models (competency
portfolio, strategy management and monitoring of human resources, career
managing etc.) applying in EU public administration institutions;
-to acquaint with developing of modern human resources theories and exactly
professional development in public administration/management study
programs and continuing education in EU Universities or continuing
education institutions;
-to find out and compare differences of applying these modern human
resources theories consider sociocultural context of each country;
renew courses at Siauliai University in Public administration study
programme and in-service training programmes for civil servants with these
new context;
-to develop partnership with potential partners for the future Leonardo
project in the area of guidance of professional development in the public
administration institutions (in Lithuanian context they are –
Municipalities, Governor Administrations, Tax Inspectorate, Social
Insurance Fund Board etc.).
We are offering your institution to be receiving organization for the
study visit from Lithuanian institutions (see above). If you can arrange
meetings with personell administratos of municipalities (or other public
administration institutions) of your region or
city, representatives (administrative staff, teachers, sholors) from
public sector training centres (or institutions of higher education), and
organise discussions about necessary competences of civil servants,
technologies are used for recognizing and measuring of these competences
(may be competency portfolio or similary), personell development
strategies in the municipalities and planning of professional development,
cooperation between public sector organiztionas and universities or
training institutions in the field of planing and realizing profesional
development etc. - it will be the topic themes for this project and very
helpfull for Lithuanian sholars and representatives from public
administration institutions. Looking to the future, we propose welcome
group from your institution as Leonardo mobility study visit in Siauliai
and Klaipeda University (Lithuania) and all institutions you can see
above.
If our idea is acceptable for you we are waiting for your e-mail as soon
as possible. The deadline for project submission to national Agency is
10th February/2006, therefore time for agreements is very short, but I can
make sure about reliability and competence in international projects of
all partners you can see above. What information we need for fullfilling
proposal to National agency:
1. Short information about your institution - short history, activities in
the field of training of civil servants, cooperation with municipality or
another kind of public administration institutions, etc., expierence in
the international projects (15 lines by e-mail).
2. Adress, phones, emails and the same information about contact person
for this project (by e-mail).
3. agreement betwee Siauliai University as coordinating institution and
your institution about cooperation in this project and arrangin study
visit by fax(text i'll send to you by e-mail)
4. Agenda of study visit (by e-mail).
National Leonardo agency funding all travel expencies for Lithuanian part
(tickets, per diem rates, insurance, hotel), but not reimburse costs for
receiving side (I mean for organizing activities for Lithuanian group). So
we can offer continue this project for similar study visit in Lithuania.
Study visit should be not shorter than 5 working days.
In the case of your agreement we would coordinate dates for meeting,
agenda and all organizational details. It can be changed in the future,
of course, but for the moment of application it is necessary for generaly
agreements.

Justinian and the Mediterranean
We are an organization in Ravenna, Italy interested in writing a project to be financed under the Culture 2000 programme (or possibly other European programmes).
This cultural project is aimed at the valorisation of the Mediterranean as a common cultural matrix both for Europe and for the Mediterranean countries.
Justinian is the Emperor who unified both European and Asian and North African countries under the same Empire; Ravenna confirms being the gateway to the East because of its having been the capital of Byzantium in the West.
The idea at the basis of the project is of creating joint initiatives among cultural operators, study centres and municipalities on the Mediterranean shores on the theme of Justinian Emperor of Byzantium. Of course there is no fixed plan of activities yet. We have some proposal which comprehend exhibits and study sessions, but the final programme will be the result of all partners’ proposals.
At this stage we are interested in getting in touch with potential partners who might be interested in this idea.
We believe that in times like these, a project aimed at promoting the many common issues between both shores of the Mediterranean could have a very social impact, beside a cultural one.
